How your business model can disrupt your industry
I recently shared three questions to discover your business model.
For the most part, the possible answers to those questions are independent of each other. You can mix and match answers to suit your—and your customers’—preferences.
Industry-changing “disruptions” come from applying a new business model to an existing industry:
- Subscription professional services (instead of billable hours)
- Renting an entire house for a few nights (rather than an extended lease or weekly timeshare)
- A meal prepared by a chef in your home (instead of at a restaurant)
Once you clarify your business model, you can find ways to improve and innovate.
So let me know…
How do you currently assess the success of your company’s business model?
Have you ever faced any challenges with your current business model? If so, what were they?
If you had to change one critical aspect of your business model today, what would it be, and how would you change it?
